Vacation On A1a
For some people free time is best spent alone, in a quiet area, far away from the city and other people. Their vacation of choice is typically fishing somewhere in Montana, camping in Vermont or staying in a beach house nowhere near popular summer spots. On the other hand there are people who appreciate crowds, busy days and eventful nights during their vacation. They are the ones who plan their getaways to the best known destinations where there is always something to do, and plenty of people to do it with.
One of the states offering attractions for people of all ages and family status is Florida. For families, of course Orlando is the prime destination, with its theme parks and both kid and parent friendly solutions even in hotels. Young people often choose Daytona or South Beach for their spring break, as they are able to find beach attractions during the day, and fabulous restaurants and clubs at night, which offer special deals to the spring breakers.
If somebody doesn’t want to spend their free time in one spot, a great option is flying into one of the bigger Florida cities and taking a road trip up or down the state. One of the great roads to see the east coast of Florida is A1A. Known as the Scenic and Historic Coastal Highway, it stretches all the way from Key West to Callahan, which is just south of the Georgia border, going through Miami, Palm Beach, just west of Kennedy Space Center, Saint Augustine and Jacksonville Beach.
The towns you pass while taking A1A are a collection of unique and interesting spots connected by truly scenic stretches of road. In some parts it runs between gorgeous waterfront villas, other times there is only sand separating A1A from the ocean. This is a road that will make enthusiasts of nature, nightlife, science and history all happy, as they will all find something interesting on their way along the coast.
What are the best places to start in? For classic convertibles or Harley rentals Miami is the best place. And one would definitely want to feel the wind in their hair while taking A1A, and especially its part, the Seven Mile Bridge, all the way down to Key West, where they say on clear days you can see as far as Cuba. If you live not far from the Florida Georgia border, it might be best to just drive down and take A1A either all the way to Miami, or only as far as Daytona Beach and then go west to Orlando.
Whatever your preference, Florida will make for a perfect vacation getaway. It doesn’t matter if you decide to take the kids with you or a group of friends, if it’s going to be a one place stay or a road trip, if you opt to drive down or fly in, people working in the tourism business in Florida are going to take excellent care of you. So if you chose a Harley rental Miami to Jacksonville or a boat charter Fort Lauderdale to the Keys, you will always find a place to sleep and eat, a club to go dancing in, even some state parks to take in the natural beauty you won’t see any place else.
